What are the dates of the CAR 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting?
The CAR 2026 Annual Scientific Meeting (ASM) will be held in-person from April 16-19, 2026.
Where is the meeting being held this year?
CAR 2026 will be held in-person at Le Westin Montréal, Montréal, Quebec.
What time zone does the meeting occur in?
CAR 2026 occurs in Eastern Standard Time (EST).
Is the meeting in-person?
Yes, the CAR 2026 ASM will be held in person at Le Westin Montréal.
What safety protocols will CAR have in place for the in-person participants?
We are committed to creating a safe environment for our participants, sponsors, and staff. Government mandated public health and safety protocols will always be followed, as well as the protocols instituted by the venue (Le Westin Montreal Hotel). The Canadian Association of Radiology Radiologists will also implement additional proactive measures to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance, with the understanding that these measures and protocols may need to be enhanced as the situation evolves over the coming months. Anyone attending the event in person will be advised in advance with a detailed outline of the requirements and protocols in place for the meeting.
How do I get a certificate of attendance?
The certificate of attendance will be available at the conclusion of the event.

How do I register?

How many tiers of registration are there this year?
There are two tiers of registration for this event: early bird (up to February 17, 2026) and regular (from February 18, 2026)
What is included in the cost of my in-person event registration?
Your in-person event registration provides you access to all of the plenary presentations, concurrent breakout sessions, accredited symposium, breakfast, lunch and wellness breaks, and multiple social and networking receptions that make up the Annual Scientific Meeting. How do I become a member and benefit from discounted registration rates?
To register at the member rate, you must be a current CAR member. Not yet a member? Join today as a Full Practice, Reduced Practice or New Radiologist member and SAVE on your CAR 2026 registration. Visit the CAR’s membership web page for more details.
What is a trainee?
A trainee is a specialty or sub-specialty resident, fellow or a research trainee in a doctoral/post-doctoral program. Medical students are welcome to register as a Trainee.
As a speaker, do I need to pay and register to attend?
All educational session speakers need to register to attend and will be provided with registration details by our conference secretariat CanPlan Event & Conference Services.
I am an international delegate and my credit card was rejected. What do I do?
Since you will be paying a Canadian institution, please call your bank and verify that you are authorized to make this payment online. You are NOT registered if your credit card was not accepted.
Where do I find my registration confirmation number?
Your registration confirmation number is located in the confirmation email you will receive upon completing your registration.

Is there a CAR 2026 meeting app?
Yes! The CAR 2026 meeting app will be available the week before the meeting begins. You will receive an email from our conference secretariat with access details for the app. The CAR 2026 app will be available for download in the Apple App Store or Google Play store.

Yes, all educational session speakers need to register but are given complimentary registration. You will be contacted by our conference secretariat, CanPlan Event & Conference Services, with registration details.

I have been accepted and am presenting an oral abstract and/or electronic poster. Do I need to register?
Yes, all accepted abstract oral presenters and electronic poster presenters must register to attend the ASM.

My abstract has been accepted to be presented in the abstract oral competition session. What if I am unable to attend the ASM in-person?
You may have one of the other authors of your abstract present in your place. They must register to attend the ASM.

What is a CAR Affiliate Society?
CAR Affiliate Societies are integrated with the CAR and provide the opportunity for close collaboration on education, research, and advocacy activities with the Canadian radiology community. Working together, the CAR can deliver the most value for members while maintaining distinct mandates. The CAR’s six Affiliate Societies have developed educational sessions for CAR 2026 that highlight breast imaging (BRC), cardio-thoracic radiology (CSTR), abdominal radiology (CSAR), emergency and trauma radiology (CETARS), skeletal radiology (CSSR), and pediatric radiology (CanSPR).
